Earth Day 2026 Recap: Inteva Teams Making a Difference Around the World
May 6, 2026 Community
Across the globe, Inteva employees came together this Earth Day season to demonstrate our shared commitment to environmental responsibility and community engagement. From roadside clean-ups to tree planting initiatives, employees and their families took meaningful action to create a greener, healthier future.
Troy, Michigan: Adopt-A-Road Clean-Up
Nearly 30 volunteers from Inteva Troy participated in the annual Earth Day Adopt-A-Road Clean-Up, collecting trash along both sides of Crooks Road near our Troy headquarters. Their efforts led to a visible improvement in the area and reinforced our commitment to keeping our local community clean and welcoming.
The Adopt-A-Road program reflects Inteva Troy’s ongoing pledge to care for the surrounding neighborhood by committing to two clean-ups each year. This hands-on effort was part of TroyCares, our employee-driven initiative focused on supporting and improving the communities where we live and work. We are proud of our volunteers for leading by example and thank them for making Earth Day 2026 a success.
Salonta, Romania: Planting for the Future
March marked another successful year of the annual tree-planting initiative at our Inteva Salonta site—one of the community’s most meaningful traditions. Employees and their family members joined together to plant 600 saplings as part of a regional reforestation effort, contributing to greener spaces that will benefit generations to come.
The event was filled with energy and teamwork, with children enthusiastically joining the effort and reminding everyone why sustainability matters. For adults, the day offered the satisfaction of working side-by-side to invest in the future. This initiative reflects Inteva’s core values of community involvement, collaboration, and long-term thinking.
Mexico: Supporting Sustainable Communities
As part of Earth Day activities in Mexico, Inteva Matamoros 1 and Matamoros 2 donated 10 young trees to the city, reaffirming our commitment to environmental care and sustainable community development. Actions like these help promote a culture of environmental responsibility both within our facilities and beyond.
Matamoros Plants
Across the Matamoros plants, eco-tips were shared on internal communication screens to encourage everyday sustainable practices. The sites also hosted an Environmental Roulette, featuring questions related to our Environmental Management System (EMS). Participants had the opportunity to win small prizes such as seeds or plants.
Additionally, employees were invited to wear green as a symbol of our commitment to the environment.
As part of the battery recycling campaign, collection points will be available to promote the proper disposal and recycling of used batteries.
MTC
The Mexico Technical Center combined Earth Day with Children’s Day by organizing an environmental-themed drawing contest. The drawings are displayed on a mural at the site, highlighting creativity and environmental awareness.
IGO
At Inteva Guanajuato Operations, employees were given a small seed planting kit to promote greener habits at home. In addition, a stand with interactive activities was set up, including a visit to the garden area and a commemorative photo opportunity to celebrate Earth Day.
Together, these efforts highlight how Inteva teams around the world are turning purpose into action caring for our environment, supporting our communities, and building a more sustainable future.
