Inteva's Mexico Technical Center (MTC) continues to enact the company value of “We care for the world and our communities.” After seeing the immense need to support adult care centers in Juarez, Mexico, they teamed up with Casa Hogar mi Esperanza, a center that provides food, shelter and assistance to 24 adults over the age of 65 who have been rescued from the streets.
MTC employees collected non-perishable food, clothes, blankets, personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies and cash donations over the course of a month. Their contributions will supply Casa Hogar mi Esperanza with three months of meals and supplies.
MTC employees then delivered the food to the shelter on their personal time, bringing with them hot coffee and pastries for breakfast. They also organized fun activities for the residents, such as painting the ladies’ nails and singing to them.
“Volunteering, solidarity and, in general, helping each other to the best of our abilities, are very important aspects of MTC’s culture. I have been with Inteva for over a year, and I am happy with how active the site is on supporting local causes and needs, with the leadership of the HR team,” said Virginia Villegas, Core Product Engineerat Inteva Juarez.
