Inteva Changchun Team Members Donate Time and Collect Supplies for Yongchun Middle School

March 2013

On Thursday, March 28th Inteva team members from Inteva's Changchun, China plant visited students in the Changchun Yongchun Experimental Middle School. The team visited a classroom and handed out donated bags and stationary.

Changchun Plant Manager Derek Li led the Inteva visit. They were graciously hosted and welcomed into the school. Team members said they could feel the sadness and see the desperation in the eyes of the school children as they entered into the school building.

The headmaster took the team into a classroom where all the students came in. The team held an activity for the students that all were able to participate in. On behalf of Changchun plant, manager Derek Li gave a short speech to the children. He encouraged them throughout this speech. The Inteva team then handed out donated bags and stationary to the children in the classroom.

After returning back to Inteva that day, those who had participated in the visit at the school explained what they had seen to other team members. They continued to collected additional bags and stationary at the facility to donate to the school. The staff in Changchun gained a lot in this activity and are excited and willing to continue to provide these children with more help.
